Pet Piquet is a family run pet sitting service based out of Townsville. We put emphasis on the family aspect because we know that your pets are part of the family, just as ours are.

Before Pet Piquet was formally established, our dedication to pet sitting began in 2019 as a simple side hustle, where we would care for the pets of friends and family while they were away. It was from this trusted foundation that we decided to expand our services to the wider community.

We know firsthand how stressful travelling can be when you have pets. With one of us being a paramedic, and the other being in the Army, we’ve personally struggled to find reliable friends or family members to watch our own pets. Especially at short notice. It’s increasingly more difficult when living in a garrison city where many of the people you know are simultaneously travelling, deployed or out field. We recognised the need for trusted, dependable pet care in our community and, in 2023, we expanded our outreach by utilizing online pet sitting resources. This allowed us meet new pet owners and significantly build our hands-on experience in the pet-sitting space.

As the founders of Pet Piquet, and members of QAS and the Army, we bring a foundation of discipline, accountability, and attention to detail to every house visit. A commitment that you can trust is shared by our entire team.

Over the time leading up to our launch—and the culmination of years of dedicated care—we cultivated a love for all animals under our watch and a genuine commitment to providing peace of mind to their owners. This dedication led to the official launch of Pet Piquet in December of 2025. Our motivation is simple: to ensure your pets are happy and cared for in the comfort of their own home, and that your house has a presence while you’re away.
